London, Chiswick Restaurants - Springbok Cafe, Chiswick, London's South African restaurant
Springbok Cafe,

Chiswick, W4,

Local restaurant, South African, 50 Covers
The decor maybe cafe but the food definitely is not. It is very serious food cooked in a small kitchen in the restaurant. As the name suggests, the food is South African and the menu contains items that have traveled a long way. Zebra steaks and warthog pancakes plus vegetables with strange names and very different tastes. Quite rightly the Springbok is normally full, so booking is essential. But well worth a visit even if that involves a major detour.
This is their blurb. I think it says it all.
We hope that our slogan "Explore South Africa with a Knife and Fork" gives you yet another reason to marvel at the diversity of our country. Springbok Café is the first and only South African restaurant to be included in the Michelin guide. It is an owner-run operation with true South African hospitality.
